T he night before the launch, and everyone was working away.
Being the the “roving” blogger I was, took a quick trip to the site the next day to catch up.
Cannot convey how amazed and inspiring
it was to see so many people were on site. Really captures the UpStart ethos don’t
you think?
B ringing and uniting people together as a group, utilising this space by means of inspiring a bigger change in our vision . A united vision of how much of an impact Granby park can trigger.
Being a student of design my love for type led my eyes towards this beautiful wording on the ground.
“ Let nothing be changed and all be different”
I encourage you all to not question yet invite this possibility. A true encapsulation of what I feel this park is representing.
It is not attempting to change or alter what the history of the
area represents.

| Linking people together irrespective of their differences. |
For me ultimately it’s what is possibly one of the most admirable traits of this initiative, and no doubt as well as myself resonates with others too on a deeper level.
The park is not inviting a change of people’s opinions, when visitors walk in. the park welcomes them form different walks of life.
As local resident Gerry says ( who has been doing some amazing work with our community engagement officer Karla), " Upstart is about uplifting".... and in indeed it truly is.

It celebrates and in my opinion is such an integral and essential representation of humanity. It is a symbol for hope, and also a metaphor for uniting people together.. Embracing us “ all to be different”.
